In every case your gateway charges its commission per sale: that part is the same for everyone and is your contract with your provider.
The honest limits
- The gateway is a contract between your business and your provider: Azul charges 4% to 6% per transaction and requires an RNC
- Without an RNC, the store runs on confirmed transfers or bank payment links
- The one-time payment covers the build and a 60-day warranty; later maintenance is optional (Store Care Plan, RD$1,500/month) or quoted per intervention
- We only sell it when the operation can sustain payments, inventory and delivery; if not yet, we say so and propose the catalog
Frequent questions
Why not just Shopify?
Shopify is a good platform, but in the Dominican Republic it is incomplete: Shopify Payments does not operate here, so you pay the monthly plan plus a surcharge for third-party gateways, and the platform is never yours. Our store is a one-time payment, runs in your account and uses the local gateway directly.
What do I need to charge cards?
A Dominican gateway affiliation with your RNC: Azul (Banco Popular) charges 4% to 6% per transaction with no standard monthly fee, and CardNET affiliation starts around US$10. We guide the process; the contract is yours.
What if I do not have an RNC yet?
The store can run on confirmed bank transfers or your bank's payment link. When you get your RNC, the gateway is connected without rebuilding anything.
Who maintains the store afterwards?
For the first 60 days we fix any defect free. Then you decide: Store Care Plan (RD$1,500/month with verified backups and updates) or quoted one-off interventions. Without a plan the store keeps running; it is simply in writing that daily operation is yours.
